Law student Chloe wins Mortons Award for Outstanding Achievement

Chloe Jackson is this year’s winner of the Mortons Law Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Law at the University of Sunderland.

Chloe has decided to continue her studies with the University of Sunderland, and will start her LLM Legal Practice LPC in September. She said: “Being awarded the prize honestly came as a big surprise, but it has made the all nighters in the library and the stress over finals even more worthwhile. I’m really grateful to all the staff that gave me the resources and the platform to achieve what I have over the last three years, and can’t thank them enough.”

“As for my plans in the future I will be staying at the University of Sunderland to study the LLM in Legal Practice, with the intention of securing a training contract and eventually qualifying as a solicitor. The staff and the quality of practical teaching are the main reasons behind I chose to continue my study at the University and I’m really excited to see what September brings.”
Dr. Christopher Newman, a Reader in Law at Sunderland Law School, said: "Chloe is a wonderfully dedicated student, submitting work of the very highest standard. The conferment of the Mortons Prize illustrates the ability of Chloe and her commitment over three years of study."
