Welcoming a new trainee to Mortons

Nicola joined Mortons in April 2016 following the completion of her Law Degree at the University of Sunderland and subsequently the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University.

Nicola has spent time in our Private Client Department gaining a wealth of knowledge in matters such as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Asset Protection Trusts, further affairs of the Elderly Client and also gained knowledge in conveyancing.  Nicola has now been accepted by the firm as a Trainee Solicitor and will continue her training in all areas of our firm.

Andrew Simpson, Director said "Nicola has proved herself to be a valuable member of the team and we are delighted to be in a position to appoint Nicola the role of Trainee Solicitor to continue in her training to be a fully qualified Solicitor".

Hadrian’s Wall Walk in aid of MNDA

Last year our CEO, Glyn Llewellyn,  completed an 80 mile walk from Holy Island to Tynemouth in aid of Prostate Cancer. This was a challenge but extremely worthwhile as they raised just under £6,000 for charity.

This year they are back and have decided to take on Hadrian’s Wall, a little over 80 miles. This time our chosen charity in Motor Neurone Disease Association, again a very worthwhile and high profile cause.

This charity is close to Glyn’s heart as his Father died from Motor Neurone Disease so this year’s charity walk is in his name.

The team set off this morning and will complete the walk in 4 days finishing at the Pitcher and Piano on Newcastle Quayside.

Please support Glyn’s  venture by making a donation via  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/glyn-llewellyn1
