Here at Mortons, we have a highly specialised and dedicated department dealing with all aspects of Family and Matrimonial Law and we hold a Legal Services Commission Contract in Family and Matrimonial Law. Our team includes members of the Law Society's Children Panel and Resolution and all are highly skilled in their areas of practice.

We are accustomed to dealing with routine or very large divorce settlements as well as matters where parties to proceedings are living abroad.
If you are unsure as to whether you wish to commence proceedings and just want to clarify your position, we are equally as happy to advise and charge you on that basis.
We understand that matters relating to your family can be extremely distressing and we undertake to deal with all matters professionally and sensitively at all times additionally, we employ both male and female solicitors within the department.
As a result of our Family and Matrimonial Contract, subject to eligibility criteria being fulfilled, we may be able to act for you on publicly funded basis. If you think that may be entitled to public funding, please inform our Receptionist when calling to make an appointment and bring evidence of your income / benefit entitlement to your first appointment.
For those clients who instruct us on a privately paying basis we appreciate that the costs of proceedings may be substantial, as a result we will invoice you at regular intervals to ensure that the costs remain manageable, alternatively we would be happy to discuss setting up standing order or continuous credit/debit cards payments to enable you to pay as you go, all at no additional cost*

Please note that all work undertaken on your behalf or advice given, is chargeable, we do not offer free or fixed price interviews.
*With the exception of credit card payments which are charged at the prevailing rate. No charge is made for debit card payments.
