JANINE A. HOBSON B. Hum. – Associate Solicitor

Janine graduated from University of London, Goldsmith’s College with an Honours Degree in Communication Studies in 1983. In 1985 Janine completed the Law Society’s Final Examinations and was admitted as a solicitor in 1987 following successful completion of her Articles.

Following admission as a solicitor Janine joined a Manchester firm in September 1987 where she undertook a wide variety of work including Matrimonial, Criminal, Mental Health, Childcare, General Litigation, Personal Injury and Liquor Licensing.

In 1990 Janine became an in-house solicitor for the Co-operative Wholesale Society Ltd based in Manchester undertaking defendant Personal Injury work and also defending prosecutions in respect of Food, Health & Safety and Environmental Protection matters.

Janine relocated to Sunderland in 1993 where she joined a local firm as a Senior Assistant Solicitor, specialising in Defendant Personal Injury work, moving later into Wills and Probate matters.

Janine joined Mortons in August 2003 as an Associate Solicitor within the Personal Injury Department supervising a large team of paralegals eventually overseeing  the day to day conduct of Industrial Disease claims, slips, trips, road traffic accidents, accidents at work etc. for both claimant and defendant.

In addition to the above, Janine undertakes most other types of Civil Litigation including, debt, breach of contract / consumer issues, contentious probate and landlord and tenant work.
